1957 - Britain's Foreign Secretary Sues For Divorce. Mrs. Selwyn Lloyd: Mr. Selwyn Lloyd the 52 year old Foreign Secretary has filled a petition for divorce from his wife Elizabeth who is 30. She used to be his secretary in chambers in the Temple. They were married in March 1951 and have a four year old daughter Joanna. Mr. Martin Lubbock, and Old Etonion, who is 33 is named as co-respondent. Mrs. Lloyd was formerly Miss Elizabeth Marshall, daughter of a Liverpool solicitor.
