Nov. 11, 1959 - His three daughters.: Mr. William Roberts put his three little daughters to bed last night, and told them why he wants to give them away. He is offering them to any married couple with a good home. All he asks is that he should be able to see them from time to time. At his semi-detached home in Finchley, 39-year-old Mr. Roberts explained the reasons for his strange offer - debts, separation from his wife, and no prospects for himself. He has a daughter age 20 at University, a boy who works in an office and lives away from home, and two ther boys who live with him. Mr Roberts explained that although he loved he other three daughters, Helen, 5, Miriam, 7, and Margaret, 10, he unable to look after them. He estimated his debts at £1, 000 and says that his unemployment pay and children's allowances are being used to clothe and fed the children.
