Mar. 16, 1959 - Members Of The Diplomatic Corps Go To An Unusual Tea Party: Commander R.A. Allen M.P. - Conservative member for South Paddington - and who has been recently appointed Under Secretary to the Foreign Office - helped Mr. and Mrs. Bell Burborough to get the roof of their home fixed - after they had differences with their landlord. The Burborough's in thanks - sent invitations to members of the Diplomatic Corps - under the name of the Hon. and Mrs. Burborough requesting their company to a tea in honour of Commander Allen. Representatives - Russians -Poles -Hungarians-Irakis-Sudanese-Czecks- etc. attended the party at the Paddington home. Commande- Allen himself was unable to attend. Photo shows Mr. The Hon William Burborough - the 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burborough - who invited the Diplomatic Corps to the party
