Jun. 06, 1958 - The Duke of Bedford Throws Open Woburn Abbey to the newly formed Linda Leigh Large Girl's Club; The Duke of Bedford today threw open Woburn Abbey to launch the newly formed Linda Leigh Large Girls Club. The club has been formed to give an opportunity to girls of all ages, who are generously proportioned to get together, and sympathetically exchange views on their problems in Fashion and beauty. The club's honorary president is Madame Mag Cournou, who is also president of the Club Sympathique Des Femmes Fortes in Paris. Mdme. Cournou weighs 224 lbs. and has 60 inch hips. The membership fee for the club is five shillings.
