Jun. 06, 1958 - World'd First Fibre Glass Perambulator: The world's first fibre glass perambulator - the Ballerina - which is being introduced to home and overseas markets by the Lines Bros. Group of Companies, manufacturers of the Pedigree and Swan ranges of baby carriages - was shown in London last night. The Ballerina, which is being made in a range of four models, the Markova, Pavlova, Ulanova and Fonteyn (all to retail at 36 guineas), is the result of several years of intensive development.
