10-year-old girl dives for Britain. Ten-year-old Beverley Williams, of South Ruislip, Middlesex, is to dive for Britain against the United States at Crystal Palace, London, tomorrow. She is the youngest international in the history of British swimming and diving-and probably the youngest Bristish international in any sport. Beverley, who has been brought in to replace olympic representative Frances Erard, said yesterday: My dad taught me to dive when I was seven, and I started high board at nine.
