Roadsweeper Follows The Hunt: When out for a day's fox hunting, 44-year-old John Newby looks the perfect country squire. But for him, hunting is strictly a Saturday affair. Come Monday he is back at his regular job - sweeping the streets in Sevenoaks, Kent. John, a former groom, became a roadsweeper for Sevenoaks Council after deciding that seven days a week with horses was too much. His job makes no difference to the stockbrokers, professional men and farmers who ride with the West Kent hounds. They like him and he likes them. John, who lives in Sevenoaks, started riding when he was four. Photo shows John Newey looks the perfect country squire when out for a day's fox hunting
