Feb. 28 BRAWNY BEAUTY 21-Year old ALICE PENFOLD, of the Village of Bury, Near Pulborough, Sussox, is the Strongest toughest girl for miles around, despite her pretty face, shapely figure and long, blonde hair. At the age of 15 she was a weakling - now she can rip telephone directories in half, lift her head with 56lb. wrights tied to the end of her pigtails, and lift her 10st. 61b sister with her teeth. Alico developed her strength working on her father's smallholding, gathering moss by the sackland for Covent Garden. She's been as good as a team of workers, but Dad is losing her, for ALice is becoming a professional strong woman.
