Mar. 27 Steak House in the shape of a pheasant. The gamekeeper a steak house a built in the shape of a pheasant, has just been opened at Harlington, Middlesex. It was commissioned by Schooner Inns, a branch of the Watney Group, and is near a Watney - Mann public house called the Pheasant. The 50, 000 steak house holds about 150 people and should attract tourists at the Skyways Hotel near London Airport. The lights have been made from old farm implement such as ground drills, ploughshares and harrows. The architect is Mr. Wilson Smith designer of a number of unusual public houses and restaurants.
