United Kingdom - Ireland

Mar. 31 Freezing Flier: Flight Cadet J.J. Bowler of Britain's Royal Air Force has every reason to grit his teeth and clench his fists - he is taking a dip in a near zero snow-water lake in Norway. He was one of 30 British soldiers, sailors and airmen, based at Jostedalsbreen, Europe's largest glacier with an icecap at about 6, 000 ft. on a tough month-long training expedition in wild and sparsely populated territory
