Mar. 27 CADET FORCE SENIOR OFFICERS UNDERGO TOUGH TRAINING COURSE DESIGNED FOR THEIR OWN JUNIOR LEADERS - AND SHOW THE OLD UNS CAN TAKE IT: In a former WRAC Staff College at Primley Park, Camberley, a regular Lieut-colonel and staff are preparing this summer to cut through a variety of tough realistic courses several hundred cadet officers, n.c.o.'s and other youthful potential leaders, in an all-out aim at popularising the new tough hobby policy of Cadet Forces (C.C.F and A.C.F) and Territorial Army. The old house has been smartened up and the first course run there was for volunteer senior officers of various County Cadet forces and schools leaders. During the course Colonels, leutenant-colonels and majors did the jobs of all the junior range, on the square, in lecture room, and in the field. in the culminating exercise which included a night spent under bivuacs on the training area and finished with an initiative test of raft building and crossing a lake, the old seata showed how well they could take it and gained a personal appreciation of the conditions they will ask their own junior ranks to undergo. The courses wills tart in the Summer holidays and will each last week. One hundred cadets can be taken at one time. Some will sleep under canvas in the grounds. Visits to the R. Mil.College and other neighboring establishments will form part of the course through which more than 500 lads are expected to pass.
