Mar. 27 Cadet force senior officers undergo tough training course designed for their own junior leaders - and show the old uns Can take it. In a Former Wrac staff college at Frimley park, camberley, a regular Lieut - colonel and staff are preparing this summer to rut through a variety of tough realistic courses several leaders, in cadet officers, n.c.o.'s and other youthful potential leaders, in an all -out aim at popularising the new tough hobby policy of cadet Forces (C.C.F. and A.C.F.) and Territorial Army. The old house has been smartened up and the first course run there was for volunteer senior officers of Vair us county cadet forces and school's leaders. During the course colonels, icutenant - colonels and Majors did the jobs of all the junior ranks, on the square. in lecture room, and in the field. In the culmination exercise which included a night spent under bivouacs on the training area and finished with an initiative test of ruft building and crossing a lake, the old sweats showed how well they could take it and gained a personal appreciation of the conditions they will ask their own junior ranks so undergo. The courses will start in the summer holidays and will each last a week. one hundred cadets can be taken at one time. some will sleep under canvas in the grounds. Visits will form part of the course through which more than 500 lads are expected to pass
