Apr. 17 Outside the Marisco Tavern, the island's only pub, girl visitors examine the collection of lifebelts strung outside the door. The are relics from ships which have foundered and been wrecked on the Islands's rocks. Watching them is Jim Prouse, the barman and having his morning pint is Frank Carron the village postman and general factotum. The Tavern is licensed all day and all night
