Feb. 02, 1960 - One Day Rail Strike Brings London Traffic To A Full Stop: The biggest traffic tangle of all times was to be witnessed in London last night - thousands of cars, buses, lorries were virtually at a standstill. This was because of the twenty four hour strike on the underground railways. Thousands were to be seen lining up to board buses which when they arrived were already full of bursting point.
