Mar. 03, 1963 - The Scots Guards Rebels - Change Their Minds. Twenty of the twenty-five rebel Scots Guardsmen elected to be tried by Court Martial on charges of going absent without leave when they appeared before their Commanding Officer Lieut. Col. C.J. Duffin - at Pirbright, Surrey - today - but afterwards changed their minds - and decided they would accept their C.O's punishment. The other five had already been sentenced - the heaviest of which was an 8 day restriction of privileges - and were sent to Windsor Castle - for Guard Duty. Keystone Photo Shows:- Guards - including the five who agreed to receive the C.O.'s punishment - marching through Windsor on way to duty this afternoon
