Dec. 12, 1962 - Minister Of Transport - Visits The Circus Takes A Ride - On An Elephant: Minister of Transport - Mr. Ernest Marples M.P. this morning paid a visit to the Bertram Mills Circus which opens tomorrow at Olympia. He went for a ride on the back of an elephant - specially inscribed with a road safety slogan - in honour of the visitor. Photo shows Mr. Ernest Marples on the back of the elephant - at Olympia this morning - assisted by Coco the Clown - and Ivan Rosaair - who is in charge of the elephant troupe
