Nov. 11, 1963 - Mr. Marples checks for Diesel Fumes. The Transport Minister Mr. Ernest Marples, was present this morning at a roadside spot check on diesel engined goods vehicles emitting excessive smoke. These checks are carried out by Ministry examiners in conjunction with the police.
