Jan. 01, 1963 - Grandad Gives Boy Rest From The Paper-Round 50-year-old Advertising executive Edgar Samuel of Ewell Surrey was so impressed by the way in which his paper boy Malcolm Foster delivered his paper throughout the worst period of the icy and snowy weather which still prevails over most of the country that he offered to take over the round for one morning so that the boy could spend it in bed. So 50-year-old grandfather Mr. Samuel was up and delivering papers at six o'clock in the morning. It took him 130 minutes to get round against Malcolm's 75. His comment after he had trudged the two mile round in the snow was that he never realised just how difficult the job was.
