Oct. 10, 1963 - His photo saved her life: A Sydney woman, Mrs. Bedwell, recently met singer NELSON EDDY for the first time. She has always been a great fan of his, and during the last war, it was NELSON's photo that saved her life, for she was staying with her family at an hotel in London during the blitz, and when a raid started they all went down into the basement to shelter. Mrs. Bedwell remembered that she had left her precious photo of Nelson Eddy up in her room so she went to fetch it, and while she was there a bomb entered the basement and killed all her family. Photo shows Mrs. Bedwell meets NELSON Eddy in Sydney
