Jun. 01, 1962 - The Guardsman - aged nine: Nine year old Alexander Morris, son of a docker from Bootle, Lancasm is having the treat o his life - for he is the guest for three days of the Grenadier Guards at Catherham Barracks - as a reward for being the best marcher in a Youth Parade. Alex and his mother were met at Euston Station by Lieut. John Brown of the Grenadier Guards and after watching the Guards at St. James a Palace - be went to Caterham where visited the parade ground to Show the Guards how to march. Photo shows Alexander Morris seen as he Inspected the Guards at Caterham Barracks yesterday
