Feb. 02, 1961 - See-As-You Buy Gas Pump: A new system of selling gas is demonstrated at Leavesden, near London, England. It consists of two separate units the hose section (left) and the dial section (left background). Thus you are able to sit and look straight in front at the type, price and amount of gas you are getting and the station attendant does not have to drag the hose to the back of the car. Designed by a British gasoline company, the system is due to be installed at several points in Italy within three months and in Britain next year. Manufactures: De Havilland Engine Co. Leavesden Hetfordshire, England. Designers: The British Petroleum Co. Ltd. Britannic House, Finsbury Circus, London, E.C.2
