Nov. 13, 1960 - 13-11-60 Sensation at Tower Bridge. Man says he is going to dive from top There was a sensation at Tower Bridge this afternoon when a man climbed from ground level to the top of the high bridge supports saying that it was intention to dive into the river. Police were soon on the scene and climbed up to him and eventually persuaded him not to jump because the water was much too shallow. A fire engine was called and the man was helped to the ground and taken into custody by the police. It was learned that he is 40 year old Johnny Sanger.
