The Military advisers group meets in formal session twice a year to review personally the work of the Military Planning Office of the South-East Asia Treaty Organisation in Bangkok, and to assist the current situation in South-East Asia this regular conferences are in line with their primary responsibility, as a body, for developing effective plans for the defense of the Treaty area and fro planning the associated military training exercises. At these meetings they provide the necessary direct and personal guidance not otherwise possible out of session. they are, however, in constant communication with their planners and representatives in Bangkok throughout the year
