Feb. 02, 1964 - Pancake racing in the Old Kent Road: The annual Pancake Day race was held today in London's Old Kent Road, between ten women representing the Prince of Wales public house in Ruby Street, and the Lord Wellington in the Old Kent Road itself. The Mayors of Southwark and Sarmondsey were stationed along the route to ensure that the competitors tossed their pancake properly.
