Jun. 06, 1964 -94, 000 Pools winner sued; In 1959, a 29 strong syndicate entered a football pool and won a treble chance jackpot of94, 708, and discussed giving a generous present to Mr. Teodor Szurc, the old age pensioner who had filled in the coupon and sent it in for them, but the winning cheque was made out to Mr. Szulc, and when it was presented, he demanded 10%, and also said that he had given his daughter a6, 506 share. Yesterday members of the syndicate sued Mr. Szulc in the high court, claiming that he still owed them money. Photo Shows Mr. Teodor Szulc with his daughter in London yesterday
