Aug. 08, 1964 - Minister of Agriculture in Coma after a fall, to be transferred to Orthopedic Hospital: Mr. Christopher Soames the Minister of Agriculture, was badly injured today in a fall from horse on a farm at Frant, nr. Tunbridge Wells. He was taken unconscious to a Tunbridge Wells Hospital. An X-Ray showed damage to the pelvic. He i expected to be moved to the Royal Orthopedic Hospital later. Mr. Soames, who is a member of the Cabinet - is married to Sir Winston Churchill's daughter Mary. He is 43. Photo shows Mr. Christopher Soames during his visit to the Edenbridge and Oxted Agricultural show - last Monday (Bank Holiday)
