Jun. 06, 1965 - Policeman Shot in Siege: A Policeman was shot in the back by a Rifle Bullet today, in a two hour siege at a house in woodland Rise, Muswell Hill, Nth London. Police went to the house after an under world tip that they would find a woman who had escaped fro Holloway Jail. When they approached her room she locked the door, and then opened a large window of the room. shots were fired at a plain Ollthas police Constable outside in the street. the girl then appeared at the window with a. 22 rifle, and a newspaper photographer, Steve Davis, was able to grab the gun, after asking the girl if he could take a photographer of her. Photo Shows The scene as the girl is brought from the house at the end of the siege today
