Jun. 04, 1967 - London's Billingsgate Market Transformed into Le Havres Waterfront for a Film: Director Bud Yorkin, and art director Michael Stringer of Casino Royale fame, have transformed Billingsgate Fish Market into Le Havre Waterfront for Mirisch Films multi-million dollar comedy, Inspector Clouseau'. Every shop, street and traffic sign within one-square mile area in and around the Market was converted into sidewalk bisros. The young Broadway star, Alan Arkin plays the irrepressible Clouseau. Photo shows part of the Billingsgate Market transformed into a typical French cafe scene for the filming today
