Jun. 06, 1967 - Security Council Unanimously Calls For Ceasefire in Middle East: The Security Council tonight unanimously called upon the Governments concerned in the present hostilities in the Middle East, as a first step, to take forthwith all measures for an immediate cease-fire and for the cessation of all military activities in the area'. The Secretary-General was asked to keep the Council promptly and currently informed on the situation'. The draft resolution adopted tonight was put forward at the start of the meeting by the President of the Council, Hans R.
