Feb. 02, 1965 - Frank The Tobacconist Builds Up His Business - By Selling All The Latest Kinky Gear Pipes - In Soho: The tiny tobacconist shop run by Mr. Frank Wlby in London's Soho was established in 1797 - and business went on from day to day in the very ordinary manner. The shop remained the same while other establishments around began the get with it - modernised their shops - and sold all the Kinky gear - anything different - which is much sought -after by the Mods of te day. They one day a very modern Mod called at Fran's shop - and asked for a Kinky pipe'.. Frank happened t have a Tyrolean pipe complete with sord - tassels and a metal lid on the bowl. The Mod was enraptured - and paid 12/64 for the pipe. He saud he did not want to smoke it - it was just for wear'.. Now Frank has modernised his stock - and sells anything in the smoking line that looks different - and the mods simply snap-them-up. and Frank finds that business is booming.
