Sep. 24, 1967 - 24-9-67 Algeria frees British Pilots, they fly home to London today The Algerian Government last night released two British pilots imprisoned for 12 weeks since their executive plane carrying Moise Tshombe was hijacked over the Mediterranean. The pilots, Captain David Taylor, 27, and Captain Trevor Copleston, 38, flew home to join their families in London today.
