Feb. 02, 1968 - SIX PRETTY GIRLS BRIGHTEN A DISMAL MONDAY MORNING 22-year old PAULINE STEPHENSON has really started something at the Thermos factory in Brentwood, Essex, with her ideas on what an efficient secretary should wear at the office these days. Last week, Pauline arrived for work dressed in her own creating - Union Jack slacks. Heads turned and it wasn't lone before it reached the ears of the Managing Director. Mr. Terence McCarthy who was so impressed that he asked her to make five mini Union Jack dresses for the rest of the younger secretarial staff.
