Jul. 07, 1967 - The Military Adopt a Pub.: The Army's Transport Officer-in-chief, Major General Errold Lonsdale, yesterday drove a coach-and-four to a 200 year old Scho tavern called Coach and Horses, for a ceremony to mark the adoption of the pub by men of the Royal Corps of Transport as a meeting place to meet their friends.
