Dec. 12, 1968 - Lord Mayor presented with Giant Christmas Pudding.: The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Charles Trinder, was at Australia House today presented with a giant 160lb. Christmas Pudding (enough fir 800) by the high Commissioner for Australia, Sir Alexander Downer. The pudding is a gift to the people of the UK from the Dried Fruit Growers of Australia and, in fact, contains 45 lbs of Australian sultanas, 17 lbs of Australian currants, 10 lbs of Australian raisins and a host of other good things from Down Under. The Lord Mayor in turn will donate the pudding to a London Charity of his choice.
