Sep. 09, 1966 - Mr. Szajnfelf holds press conference: Mr. Josef Szajnfeld said yesterday that he might withdraw his £100, 000 plus offer to buy the London and Cheshire Insurance Company. He told a Press Conference that his withdrawal was possible within the 28 day period before the deal is completed, if an independent accountant report shows discrepancies which were beyond solution in a rescue operation. The 50 year old Polish born property director was confirmed at the weekend as the mystery buyer of the company that insures 150, 000 motorists. He appeared at yesterday's conference with his close business associate, Mr. Manfred Munster. Photo shows Mr. Josef Szajnfeld (nearest camera) pictured at yesterday's Press conference.
