Feb. 02, 1969 - More Than 2, 000 Combined Scouts And Guides Attend Westminster Abbey Service: Over 2, 000 Guides and Scouts, many from overseas, today attended the combined Guide Thinking Day and Scout Founder's Day Service at Westminster Abbey. It was an historic occasion because the World Chief Guide Olave, Lady Baden-Powell, celebrated her 80th birthday by reading the lesson. The Service was conducted by the Dean, the Very Rev. Eric Symes Abbot.
