Jul. 07, 1970 - Dockers Delegates Meeting In London. A conference of 80 docker delegates from all Britain;s ports, called to decide whether to accept the employers new pay offer, was held at Transport House. Mr. Jack Jones, leader of the Transport and General Workers Union, was trying to end the revolt of 30, 000 dockers against his stay-at-work appeal.
