Jul. 07, 1970 - Czech women seeks Asylum in Britain: Miss INka Houdova 30 has asked the British Government for asylum, she was at the home of friends in Fulham last night. She had desereted a culture group with which she had been allowed to leave Czocheslevakia on a temporary permit. She first came to England in 1968 after the Russian invasion and stayed a year, but she returned home because her father wad dying. After his death she tred to to get back here but she was repeatedly refused a visa Eventually she got a job as secretary with a travel agency which was arranging a culture tour of Bournomouth for a group of people who wanted to perfect their English. She convinced the authorities that she needed to improve her english to make progress in her job. so they allowed her to go on the tour.
