1969 - Pacing the Route; Pacing the route took place this morning of the first ever parade through London of the new territorials which will take place next Sunday (April 20). These pace makers who measured the route with pacing sticks formed up at the bottom of Constitution Hill. Opposite Buckingham Palace, from where 1, 000 men and woman and 150 vehicles taking up the parade will start on April 20. They then paced the route in time honored manner.
