Jan. 01, 1970 - British Campaign For Peace In Vietnam: At the time of the Prime Minister's visit to the United States an advertisement will appear in the New York Times of Tuesday, January 27th, 1970. This reaffirms support for the Trades Union Congress policy on Vietnam which includes the demand that Britain should dissociate from American policy in Vietnam. The advertisement, which has been organised by the British Campaign for Peace in Vietnam will contain the signatures of many prominent Trade Union leaders, including Presidents and Secretaries of some of Britain's largest unions and over twenty Members of Parliament.
