Mar. 31, 1971 - Chief of the General staff Sir Geoffery Baker retires: Generl Sir Geefrey Baker, the retiring Chief of General Staff, took leave of the members of the Armny Board outside the Ministry of Defense this morning. Men of the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, including herald trumeters, and Royal Military Police formed a small ceremonial party as he left. Photo shows General Sir Baker as he leaves the Devence. General Sir Geoffrey, Baker, leaves the Ministry of Defense past a Guard of Honour Palace to receive his baton to become Field Marshall as from today
