May 05, 1973 - THE LAMBTON AFFAIR: Lord Lambton, who resigned on Tuesday as Defence Under-Secretary for the R.A.F. because of his involvement with a call girl, said in a statement yesterday: There has been no security risk and no blackmail. I behaved with credulous stupidity and consequently have let down those I most wished to please - the Prime Minister, the Conservative party, my electorate who have given me 22 years of loyalty, and my family. Photo Shows:- This picture of Lord Lambton with Prime Minister Mr. Heath was taken in 1970 at a Conservative fete at Alnwick Castle
