Nov. 11, 1972 - A Bricklayer wins nearly a Million in Vernons Pools: Stanley McAndrew, a 34-years-old bricklayer, from Winslow, Bucks, has won 31, 399-70p with 21.50 Points on Vernon Treble Chance football pools. He shares the prize with his 26-year-old brother Terry, also a bricklayer. Today both men were at the Waldorf Hotel, London, Where they were presented with their cheque by actress/model Julie Ege.
