Feb. 02, 1974 - Lord Mayor of London is presented with Red Indian Head Dress: Sir Hugh Wontner, Lord Mayor of London, was today presented with a Red Indian Head-dress by Montie Montana Jnr. on behalf of American Express. Montie Montan, who lives in Nebraska and produces Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, has been touring the United Kingdom promoting travel to the States. He has visited fifteen cities and entertained over 600 travel agents at American style breakfasts and his visit to the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House marks the end of his tour. He was accompanied to the Mansion House by Mr. Martin Agnew, Regional Vice President (Travel) of American Express. The colourful head-dress, the only one presented during the tour, is similar to those worn by indian Chiefs and comes from Sioux traive. It is decorated with Turkey feathers and not eagle feathers, as was the case in Custer's day, due to the ban on hunting eagles in the U.S.A.
