Feb. 02, 1975 - Wiltshire to London sponsored walk the Short family who were once homeless themselves gave up their holidays to walk 100 miles from their counsel house in Tollard Royal, near Salisbury, wilts. to London's Hyde park where they were met by shelter's director, Douglas tile. who himself walked 300 miles with his children 1st august. the purpose of their walk is two-fold-firstly, to raise money for the homeless and secondly to make people aware of the problems that face a homeless family at this time of the year.
