1976 - The House of Lords Committee of privileges decide that Geoffrey Russell is the rightful fourth Lord Amphill: Mr. Geoffrey Russell, the famous Russell Baby of the 1920's today become the rightful fourth Lord Ampthill after today's findings of the House of Lords Committee of Privileges. Since 1973 and the death of the third Baron Lord Ampthill, Geofrey Russell has taken the title as a result of a 1924 House of Lords ruling. But this was challenged in February before the committee of nine peers late Lord Ampthill's third marriage.
