1976 - The House Of Lords Committee Of Privileges Decide That Geoffrey Russell Is The Rightful Fourth Lord Ampthill: Mr. Geoffrey Russell, the famous Russell Baby of the 1920's today became the rightful fourth Lord Ampthill after today's finding of the House of Lord Committee of Privileges. Since 1973 and the death of the third Baron Lord Ampthill, Geoffrey Russell has taken the little as a result of a 1924 House of Lords ruling. But this was challenged in Feburary before the committee of nine peers by 25-year-old John Hugo Trenchard Russell, son of the late Lord Ampthill's third marriage.
