Dec. 12, 1975 - Woman Hostage In The London Siege Calls For Pain-Killing Tablets And Tranquillizers Hostage Mrs. Sheila Matthews who with her husband are being held hostage by IRA gunmen in the Marylebone flat siege dramatically carried out for pain-killing tablets and tranquillizers. Plastic containers containing sandwiches and coffee and the tablets were lowered to the window of the besieged flat. A few minutes later all the food and flasks of coffee were thrown out of the window, but the tablets and cigarettes were kept.
