Dec. 12, 1975 - THE ROOM IN WHICH IRA GUNMEN HELD THEIR HOSTAGES. The four IRA gunmen who have been holding a middle-aged couple in their flat in Balcombe Street, Marylebone, since last Saturday, yesterday released them and surrendered themselves to the police. The couple who were held hostage. Mr. John Matthews and his wife, Sheila, were taken to hospital.
