May 18, 1973 - Four Hour Siege At House: A man armed a gun and suffering from a broken leg, held police at bay for four hours in a siege at a house in Oldham, yesterday. The men was forced out of the house with CS gas. He opened the front door holding a pistol. Her right leg was in plaster and he was on crutches. When the police called on him to drop his gun he retreated inside and slammed the door. Three more CS gas cannisters were fired in to the house. Police then entered and found the man semi conscious on the for. He was taken by ambulance to hospital. Photo Shows Police waiting to enter the house, during yesterday's siege in Oldham
